Blindwater Brew Witch Doctor Gator Minion

Colors chosen by the client. I really like these convention exclusive Privateer brew babes.

Speed painted Cygnar Rangers

A note on my speed painting policy:
This is about the lowest quality level I will allow out of the workshop. Decent tabletop quality for a budget. There are no more than three layers of each color, a slathering ink wash, and zero touch-ups or detail work. These particular models are not extremely detailed, so they lent themselves well to the process. I could not replicate this combination of cost and quality with more intricate models like Skorne troops or most warcasters for example. Also, having a number of similar troops cuts way down on time and effort. Single warcasters  or solos are often quadruple (or more) the cost of a trooper, unless they can share colors. These took a little more then three hours to paint, and they were already assembled by the client.

Skorne Mammoth final photos

08-23 mammoth update 95% complete

LOTS of touch-up work to do, and I could probably go on fiddling around forever, but at some point I'll have reached the limits of what I can do.

Mammoth update 08-22

Ten years ago I would have called this "finished". I just need to highlight the ropes and outline every edge of the gold. You can see the difference the final highlight makes in the arms below. Should 'only' take me about 4 hours to highlight and do final touch-ups.

Mammoth update

Cleaning and assembly is basically finished. I'll leave the arms, cannons, tusks, and other adornments unattached for now.

Sculpted Gargantuan base for Hordes Mammoth

Perhaps the most challenging job of my hobby career? This thing is going to be huge and it has an incredible amount of detail. Here is the base that I sculpted for it. I used SculpeyIII and gave it texture by pressing natural sandstone into it before it was baked. I'll post updates as work progresses, but I'm taking my time on this one as I work other jobs in as well. Thanks to my client/friend for his patience.
